A workflow for local files
Open a Markdown file, switch between Preview, Split, and Edit, and save changes back to disk after granting file access. Live reload follows changes from your code editor while warning about unsaved edits.
Beyond a basic preview
The extension supports GitHub style alerts, tasks, tables, footnotes, syntax highlighting, KaTeX equations, and Mermaid diagrams. Use the contents sidebar, section folding, and command palette to move through long documents.
Highlights and exports
Save highlights and notes separately from the Markdown source. Export the document as HTML or through browser printing. Themes, typography, and custom CSS let you shape the reading environment.
