This policy applies to the MD Glide website and its browser tools. The maintainer is Muhammad Naveed. Last updated: October 24, 2026. The extension has a separate policy linked from its documentation.
Document processing
Tool inputs are processed on your device using JavaScript. We do not send document text or uploaded files to a conversion server. Text remains in memory during ordinary use. Earlier versions could save editor drafts in local storage; the current workspace offers recovery for those existing drafts. Settings, custom CSS, and highlights use browser storage; tool handoffs temporarily use session storage until the destination opens the document or the browser tab closes. Downloads are saved where you choose.
External images in the reader are blocked by default. If enabled, the browser contacts the image hosts, which may receive your IP address and request metadata. Relative images from your local filesystem cannot be read automatically.
Browser storage
We use local storage to remember dismissed onboarding tips, analytics choices, and existing drafts saved by earlier versions. The reader stores themes, custom CSS, highlights and notes, and recent-file handles (in IndexedDB). Tool handoffs use temporary session storage and are removed when opened at the destination. Existing drafts can contain the full document; use the launcher’s draft recovery controls to open or remove them. Highlights retain selected passages and notes separately from the Markdown. Clear this site’s browser data to remove all local records. Browser storage is not an encrypted backup.
Hosting and optional analytics
Hosting infrastructure receives routine request information such as IP address, URL, browser details, and timestamps. The hosting provider handles these under its own terms. Optional Google Analytics is disabled unless an operator configures a measurement ID and you accept it in cookie preferences. Document text is never intentionally included in analytics events.
Advertising is disabled in this version. Enabling advertising requires an updated privacy notice and any applicable consent platform before deployment.
Support and your choices
Support is handled through public GitHub issues under GitHub’s privacy terms. Share only sanitized examples. You can clear local site data, decline optional analytics, and request information through the contact page. We do not sell uploaded document text.
