How to use this tool

  1. Copy CSV text or a rectangular range from a spreadsheet.
  2. Paste it into the input; the first row becomes the header.
  3. Copy the generated pipe table into a Markdown document.

Why use MD Glide?

The generator understands quoted CSV cells, escaped quotes, tabs, uneven rows, and literal pipes. You can start with real spreadsheet data instead of building a grid one cell at a time.

Limits and compatibility

This generates simple GitHub flavored pipe tables. It does not support merged cells or spreadsheet formulas. Multiline cells use a line break marker that may vary by renderer.

Privacy and your files

Document contents are processed in this browser. We do not upload your text to a conversion service. Reader images are blocked unless enabled. Download a copy before closing the tab; saved highlights and notes use local storage, recent-file handles use IndexedDB, and tool handoffs temporarily use session storage.
